12 Days / 11 Nights, Ex Delhi

Day 1 : Delhi - Haridwar ( 210 kms/5hrs )
Today you start on one of the most pious journeys of the Hindu Pilgrimage in India. The Holy Himalayas up in the misty heights of the majestic Garhwal Himalayas that adorn the magnificent state of Uttaranchal in India are home to the four most holy pilgrimages of India -Yamunotri, Gangotri, Sri Kedarnathji and Sri Badrinathji, collectively referred to as the Char Dham (or four pilgrimage centers) of Hinduism in India. Undertaking a journey to these places will not just wash away one's sins but ensure release from the cycle of birth and death. You will depart for Haridwar by road which is a distance of about 214 Km and takes around 5hrs. Lunch can be enjoyed enroute in one of the local Dhabas relishing the Indian cuisine. Upon arrival at Haridwar, check in at your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city on your own. In the evening absorb the fabulous ambience of the Ganga Arti at Har Ki Pauri. Day 2 : Haridwar – Barkot ( 175kms/7hrs )
After breakfast, we proceed to Barkot which is a distance of around 175 Km in the hills and takes about 7hrs drive to reach.  En-route enjoy a simple and delicious lunch at a wayside restaurant. Barkot is a place of great scenic beauty with spectacular views of snow-capped mountains all around. A magnificent view of the eternal snow peaks of Bandar punch can be seen from here. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Chardham Camp in Barkot.

Day 3 : Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot ( 38kms/2hrs, local taxi drive 7 Kms/1hrs, 5kms/3hrs trek one side )
After early breakfast, we will proceed to Phoolchatti which is our starting point of the 7 Km trek to Yamunotri. It takes about 3hrs to reach Yamunotri, the source of the Yamuna River and the seat of the goddess Yamuna. The hike from Hanuman Chatti to Yamunotri is very picturesque with beautiful views of a number of water falls. The original temple at Yamunotri was built by Maharani Gularia of Jaipur in the 19th century. The current temple is of recent origin, as past iterations have been destroyed by the weather and elements. Divya Shila is a rock pillar which is worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple. There are quite a few thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flow into several pools. The most important of these springs is the Surya Kund where you can take a holy dip and cook rice in its water, the common rituals performed by the devotees. We return to Barkot in the evening. Day 4 : Barkot – Harsil ( 174 kms, 7hrs )
After breakfast, we will proceed to Harsil – one the most beautiful valleys in the world is situated amidst the incredible beauty of mountain peaks. Harsil is counted amongst some of the most beautiful places in the Garhwal region of India and is a distance of 174 Km from Barkot; nearly 7 hrs drive for us. Harsil is a beautiful spot to see the colors of the nature. En-route we will stop at Gangnani for hot water spring dip. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Chardham Camp, Harsil.

Day 5 : Harsil – Gangotri – Uttarkashi ( 110 Kms )
After breakfast, we proceed to Gangotri, the source of the river Ganges and seat of the goddess Ganga (22 kms/1 hr). On arrival take a holy deep in the River scared The Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin and acquires the name Ganga from Devprayag onwards where it meets the Alaknanda. Submerged in the river there is a natural Shivling where, according to mythology, Lord Shiva sat when he received the Goddess Ganga in his matted locks. Perform pooja and relax in the lovely surrounding. In the afternoon return back to Harsil for Lunch. Post Lunch proceed for Uttarkashi. Dinner and Overnight Stay at the Chardham Camp, Maneri, Uttarkashi.
 
Day 6 : Uttarkashi – Guptakashi ( 228 Kms/ 8 Hrs )
After early breakfast, we will proceed to Guptakashi which is a distance of 228 Km; about 8-9 hrs drive. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Chardham Camp, Guptakashi.
 
Day 7 : Guptakashi – Kedarnath ( 32 Kms drive - 1 hr / 14 Kms Trek - 4 hrs )
After breakfast, we proceed to Gaurikund which is a distance of 32 Km; around 1 hour. Take a holy dip at Taptakund and begin our trek of 14 Km to Kedarnath; about 4 hrs. In the evening we take you to visit Kedarnath Temple for Darshan, Aarti and pooja. The temple of Kedarnath is situated at an altitude of 3580 m amidst the background of snow covered mountain peaks and greenery. The temple is built of large, heavy and evenly cut grey slabs of stones and is considered more than 1000 years old. The temple has a garbha griha where a conical rock formation is situated and a Mandapam for seating of pilgrims and visitors. A large statue of the Nandi Bull is situated outside the temple door. Dinner and overnight at Punjab & Sindh Awas or similar.

Day 8 : Kedarnath – Guptakashi ( 14 Kms Trek – 3 Hrs/ 32 Kms Drive – 1hrs )
After breakfast, we start our trek of 14 Kms towards Gaurikund followed by a stopover at Taptakund and continue to Guptakashi with a 32 Km drive. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Chardham Camp, Guptakashi.

Day 9 : Guptakashi – Joshimath ( 175 Kms / 6-7 Hrs )
After breakfast, we proceed to Joshimath which is a distance of 175 Kms; about 7 hrs drive, is one of the most beautiful sites on the whole trip. Enjoy the beautiful drive through medicinal forest. The religious centre of Joshimath, established by Adi Shankaracharya, which he called Jyotirmath, later came to be known as Joshimath. Among the sites of interest are the temples of Nav Durga and Narsingh. Apart from its obvious religious importance, Joshimath is known for its scenic beauty. On arrival in Joshimath check in to your Chardham camp. Evening is free for you to explore Joshimath on your own. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Chardham Camp, Joshimath.

Day 10 : Joshimath – Badrinath – Joshimath ( 45 Kms drive one way/ 2 Hrs )
After breakfast, we proceed to Badrinath. Badrinath Temple is the abode of Lord Vishnu. It is situated at an altitude of 3130 m at the banks of Alaknanda. In the backdrop, is the Neelkanth mountain peak situated between the twin peaks of Nar and Narayan. The name is derived from wild berries called Badri. Adi Shankarcharya established the idol of Vishnu in the temple. Near the temple is a hot water sulphur spring, Tapt Kund. On arrival in Badrinath take the holy dip in Tapt Kund (Hot water pond), visit the temple and then drive to Mana Village, 4 km away, is inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe. It is the last village on the Indo-Tibet border. Many places famous in Hindu mythology lie close to Mana Village such as Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, Bhimpul and Vasudhara falls. We return to Joshimath in the evening. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Chardham Camp, Joshimath.
 
Day 11 :Joshimath – Haridwar /Rishikesh ( 274 Kms/ 9-10 hrs )
After breakfast, we proceed to Haridwar which is a distance of 274 km; about 10 hr drive. Rest of the day will be at leisure. Dinner and Overnight stay at Haridwar or Rishikesh.

Day 12 : Haridwar /Rishikesh – Delhi ( 214 kms / 5 hrs )

Day 2 : Haridwar – Harsil ( Drive 290 kms 8 – 9 hrs )
After breakfast, we will proceed to Harsil – one the most beautiful valleys in the world is situated amidst the incredible beauty of mountain peaks. Harsil is counted amongst some of the most beautiful places in the Garhwal region of India and is a distance of 290 Km from Haridwar; nearly 9 hrs drive for us. Harsil is a beautiful spot to see the colors of the nature. En-route we will stop at Uttarkashi for Lunch and Gangnani for hot water spring dip. Dinner and Overnight stay at the Chardham Camp, Harsil.

Day 3 : Harsil – Gangotri – Harsil – Uttarkashi ( Harsil to Gangotri 22 km, Harsil to Uttarkashi – 69 Kms )
After breakfast leave for Gangotri and on arrival take a holy dip in the River sacred The Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Puja after that and relax for sometime in the lovely surroundings. Come back to Camp resort in the afternoon to relax in the bright sunshine and some of breathtaking views of the valley beautiful. Proceed for Uttarkashi . Dinner and overnight stay at the Chardham Camp, Maneri, Uttarkashi.

Day 4 : Uttarkashi - Guptakashi ( 228kms, Drive  8 hrs )
After a very early breakfast leave for the longest journey of the trip on the road. Lunch & Tea/ Coffee en route at Srinagar. After lunch restart your journey and today for the first time see the river beautiful MANDAKINI. Travel along this to reach Guptakashi late in the evening. On arrival check in The Char Dham Camp (Guptakashi) located 2 kms out of town towards Gaurikund. Dinner and overnight stay at the Chardham Camp, Guptakashi.

Day 5 : Guptakashi – Kedarnath ( Drive 32 kms trek 14 kms )

After breakfast pick up your packed Lunch and leave for Gaurikund (A 32 kms drive one way) on arrival start your journey on the tough trek ahead. Stop for the lunch en route and restart after that to arrive by late afternoon. On arrival check in Punjab & Sindh Awas. After freshening up perform Pooja and also Darshan at the Shri Kedarnath ji. In the evening also visit Adi Shankaracharya samadhi at the back of the temple. Dinner and overnight stay at the Punjab & Sindh Awas.

Day 6 : Kedarnath – Guptakashi (Trek 14 kms, drive 32 kms) 
After breakfast start you journey back to Gaurikund and on arrival leave for Guptakashi by road to reach the Char Dham Camp by evening. Relax with Ayurvedic Massage. Dinner and overnight stay at the Chardham Camp, Guptakashi.

Day 7 : Guptakashi – Joshimath Via Chopta ( 175kms, 6 – 7 hrs )

After breakfast leave for Joshimath via Chopta, one of the most beautiful sites on the whole trip. Enjoy the beautiful drive through the thick medicinal forest and stop at Pipalkoti for Tea/ Coffee Lunch . Arrive at The Char Dham Camp Joshimath by late afternoon. Evening free in Joshimath. Dinner and overnight stay at the Chardham Camp, Joshimath.

Day 8 : Joshimath – Badrinath - Joshimath ( Drive 90 kms )

After breakfast leave for Shri Badrinath ji, on arrival take the holy Darshan and spend time visiting Mana village the last village before the Tibet border. Come back to The Resort for dinner and O/N at The Chardham Camp, Joshimath.

Day 9 : Joshimath - Haridwar ( 274kms, Drive 9 – 10 hrs )

After breakfast leave for Haridwar and on the way take lunch at Srinagar. Restart and if time permits visit Devprayag (The confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi, to become Ganga). Reach Haridwar in the evening. Dinner and Overnight stay at Haridwar.

Day 10 : Haridwar /Rishikesh – Delhi (214 kms / 5 hrs)
